Over the last few years, the country has been experiencing intense and unpredictable monsoons causing flooding and power cuts in many cities, towns and rural areas. Besides, people are grappling with a perennial problem of water logging which is often triggered by lack of efficient water and waste water management systems. This calls for a suitable pumping solution.
Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd, subsidiary of Danish smart pumps specialist parent Grundfos Holdings, is eyeing to cater to the monsoon market. It has introduced compact submersible pumps DPK and DWK. The company’s vice president for business development Shankar Rajaram says that these pumps can evacuate water out of homes, offices, gated-communities, construction sites, excavations, tunnels, underground parking, industrial drainage pits, among others.
“They come with intelligent features such as built-in bi-metal sensor that protects against overheating. The pump performance is unhindered by sand or other abrasives, and if the available power supply is limited. These features combine to provide installation flexibility with reliability and ease of service.”
