Eye on Monsoon: Sharp Unveils Air Purifier with Dehumidifying, Plasmacluster Features

Sharp Business Systems India Ltd on Monday unveiled the DW-E16FA-W air purifier that combines dehumidifying function with Plasmacluster technology. The company described the product’s launch as a “major drive” to help breathe clean during monsoons by reducing moisture in indoor air and effectively controlling allergens.
“The heavy showers during monsoon do not provide respite from air pollution as the levels are even worse than what is considered safe and pose a threat to health. We want to provide a safe breathing environment indoors through the best of technology and advanced solutions,” said the company’s national manager Shuvendu Mazumdar in a press statement. “The DW-E16FA-W comes with a robust feature set that purifies air, reduces the humidity level and makes living space which is a breeding ground for mould and fungus during this season germ free. It has a coverage of up to 300sft for air purification and 240sft for dehumidification.”
According to Mazumdar, the air purifier is designed for today’s health conscious generation and is the “only” dehumidifier with Plasmacluster Ion Generator with True HEPA, active charcoal filter and pre filter for “superior” and holistic performance. This all-new approach to air purification, he asserted, would help combat significant health risks during the monsoon.
“The highest grade true HEPA filter removes dust, smoke and pollen up to 99.97%. For bad odour and other smelly substances the embedded active carbon filter freshens up the room from both air and surface. In addition, the laundry function deodorises room-dried laundry due to its high concentration of Plasmacluster ions,” he added.
The product is priced at Rs 36,000 and is available in major cities across the nation with select partners.
