In a bid to expand its video door phones portfolio in the country, Panasonic India Pvt Ltd has launched two new products – VL–V590 and VL–V900 – equipped with location monitoring, electric lock release, multiple household connectivity and wireless connectivity features. The company is also set to launch two more new video intercom products.
At the launch, the company’s director-SSD, Vijay Wadhwan, said, “Security for us is the primary and the utmost requirement associated with any device. Catering to this, we have come out with a new line of products that enables consumers to monitor their belongings from the palm of their hands. With advanced technology, the new range of video door phones is embedded with features that empower a user to track people via their smartphone and record images respectively. We believe that such attributes will not only augment people’s safety coefficient, but will also generate awareness of its need amongst consumers.”
Elaborating about the features of VL–V590, he informed that the product comes embedded with characteristics such as electric lock release and a connectivity of up to 20 households. The product enables the connection of any combination of 7-inch wired monitors and six wireless monitors with intercom calling facility respectively. Optimal for establishments such as apartments, the product allows the user to enter the installation with the help of a PIN lock code too. It is available at a price of Rs 29,990.
The VL–V900, Wadhwan added, is a multi-door video intercom system that is a combination of PBX and cameras connecting up to 18 lobby stations and 560 monitors for large apartment buildings. The product follows the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) and enables the user to answer visitors after looking at them through the connected smartphone. Ideal for townships and condominiums, it lets the user record images of visitors, monitor common surveillance rooms and notify accidents to reception or another station via a PBX. The product will be available at a price of Rs 87,749.
Wadhwan also informed, “Panasonic will also soon be launching other video intercom products like the VL–SW274 and VL–SV71, as it continues to expand its presence within the segment.”
